Yahoo today announced a new look for the company's instant-messaging service.
Features from other areas of the company such as photo sharing, an address book, internet radio and online search results will be incorporated into the upgraded facility. Existing services such as web cam, news updates, PC voice calling and PC-to-mobile phone text messaging are to be maintained. Fans of animated smiley emoticons will be happy to learn that a further 13 have been added to the 35 already available. Messenger rivals Microsoft and AOL have both recently updated their instant messaging services, with Microsoft last week announcing it would be incorporating new 'pay-for-play' games into its service.
