BBC Trust meets open source group over iPlayer

The BBC and the Open Source Consortium (OSC) have met to discuss concerns surrounding the iPlayer, which is only compatible with Windows XP.

The OSC was looking for assurances from the BBC that the iPlayer would be made available for users of other platforms. They say that around 25% of internet users would be excluded from using the iPlayer as things stand.

Online banks 'failing to gain trust'

Internet banks have fared particularly badly in a new study that suggests the industry has lost trust from the majority of UK consumers.

The Unisys-commissioned survey found that 71% of customers do not trust their banks, while the two worst rated brands were web-based.

BBC's on-demand plans given the green light
