Broadcasters confirm joint video plans

The BBC, Channel 4 and ITV have confirmed that their long rumoured joint video on demand (VOD) service will go live next year.

The venture, dubbed 'Project Kangaroo', will operate independently of the three broadcasters and offer video content from a range of providers.

BBC, ITV and Channel 4 to partner for web TV?

BBC, ITV and Channel 4 are in talks about partnering to launch an on-demand broadband TV service, according to The Guardian.

A source told the paper that the new service would "do for broadband what Freeview did for digital television". It has been dubbed 'Project Kangaroo'.
