AdMob shakes up Coke mobile campaign

Coca-Cola has picked mobile advertising exchange AdMob to deliver user-generated video ads to consumers' handheld devices.

The new campaign targets mobiles with video functionality, displaying Coke banner and text link ads on content sites and linking to a branded landing page.

AdMob seeks distribution with WordPress plugin

Mobile advertising network AdMob is trying to prise a route into the mobile blog ad space, having released a plugin that converts WordPress blogs for mobile devices.

dotMobi developer Andy Moore wrote a WordPress extension that converts posts written in the popular blog platform to display styles suitable for phones and PDAs.

AdMob shows billion mobile ads in a year

Mobile pay-per-click advertising intermediary AdMob has delivered 1bn ads to mobile devices in its first year, according to the company.

The firm, which numbers former ZagMe marketing director Russell Buckley as a managing director, launched in January 2006 as an equivalent of Google AdSense for mobile.
