Useful reputation management resources

Reputation management and reputation monitoring are hot topics in 2008 and there are a whole host of resources that offer cost effective ways to manage your brand online.

The newest resource on the list is this online reputation management ebook - priced at just $19 it's a great way to find out everything you need to know about the subject.

Next is a free beginners guide to get you started - this is produced by Andy Beal who runs the cool new Trackur tool to track your reputation online.

Another interesting tool is the Reputation Monitor from Distilled which offers a free trial so you can see how it can monitor your brand.

If you are new to the subject then I suggest opting for a free trial to one of the services above and using Google Alerts at the same time to compare features.

After a month you can then decide how much you want to invest in tracking your reputation and choose a service that fits your needs.

1. Thanks for the link guys, nice to be among some other great resources as well!
2. A new business search directory called Bview also offers useful online reputation managememt for businesses by enabling two way conversations with their customers. While customer reviews may criticise company practices the company can respond to the customer in a public forum. These 'customer to business' conversations obviously help others make more informed decisions before deciding who to do business with. Ttransparency in business seems to be the name of the game here by exposing the best and worst businesses in the UK.

My business has already started to use this site to promote to new customers through the reviews from previous clients. The more reviews I get the higher my listing is on the BView search engine. I have also been able to hook up with people I would like to do business with. Its worth checking out.
3. Expanding on the Google Alerts tip, you could also use <a href="http://favebot.com"> to track topics of interest to you. In addition to news & blogs it also discovers photos, videos, podcast episodes, events, new book releases, etc.
