Panasonic has teamed up with Google to launch internet-ready TVs that allow users to access YouTube videos through their TV sets.
The new range of plasma Viera HDTVs will be launched in the Spring in the States, giving the web giant even greater reach for its YouTube ad offerings.
They will allow users to view videos from YouTube, as well as images on Google's online photo sharing service Picasa.
On the partnership, YouTube's Steve Chen said:
"Working with an industry leader like Panasonic will deliver the same great YouTube experience that users have come to expect on their computers; browsing, finding and watching millions of YouTube videos from the comfort of their living room."
In a statement, Panasonic added:
"Panasonic's cooperation with YouTube and Google's Picasa Web Albums exemplifies our commitment to leading the natural evolution of the Internet and extending it to the High Definition television."
