French start-up Zlio, which allows you to create and stock your own online store, has announced a CPC partnership with price comparison site Shopping.com.
The deal will allow Zlio's shopkeepers to earn commission every time someone clicks through to a product on the comparison site, while Shopping.com will benefit from the leads generated by Zlio users.
Zlio provides an easy way for people to start selling online - they name and set up their shops, then choose a range of over 3m products. Until this deal, users were earning affiliate revenue on every sale - now they can earn CPCs on some items.
According to CEO Jeremie Berrebi:
"By continuing to add more and more advanced features to our ZlioShops, yet keeping them very simple to use and implement, we are allowing even the most occasional internet user to engage in professional-standard e-commerce."
Zlio launched in September last year, and seems to be doing pretty well so far. It has around 2.5m monthly unique users, and 100,000 Zlio shops have been created, with some shopkeepers earning around $750 (£370) per month in commission.
It recently raised £2m in funding from Mangrove Capital Partners.
