Customer review provider Reevoo has landed a contract with Woolworths in its first move outside the consumer electronics sector.
Reevoo will help source and publish independent customer reviews of Woolworths.co.uk products, including toys, household appliances, mobile phones, music, video and games.
It says it can improve conversion rates for etailers, in return for fees based on the number of times shoppers click on the reviews.
Reevoo CEO Richard Anson, who we interviewed in January, said:
“The relationship between retailers and their customers is changing and savvy retailers, like Woolworths, are reacting to this trend by recognising the business value of publishing consumer reviews on their website.
“A focus on genuine reviews from confirmed customers is also essential in an online environment where trust is increasingly difficult to gain and maintain.”
He added that the deal would take the form of a six-month trial.
