Glossary Term "kilobyte"

kilobyte
Description	A measure of computer storage capacity. One kilobyte is 1024 bytes. Why 1024 and not 1000? Due to the way data is stored in a computer, it's easiest to split data into groups that are powers of 2, and 1024 is a power of 2 (2**10 in fact).
