| Description | Windows NT is an operating system developed by Microsoft running on Intel and digital processors. NT stands for New Technologies. Windows NTT compiles with the requirements of the US Department of Defence, and includes many features more common to UNIX systems (such as access privileges). It is regarded as being much more reliable than the consumer versions of Windows, but this reliability comes at a cost - a lot of hardware is incompatible with the system. NT has recently been made obsolete by Windows 2000. |
