| Description | <OS/2> is a 32-Bit Operating System, developed primarily by IBM for Intel x86 (and compatible) processors. It's compatible with most Windows 3.1, DOS and Java applications, which can be run in virtual machines running on <OS/2>2. The first version of <OS/2>2 was co-developed by IBM and Microsoft, but the partnership split in September 1990, resulting in the development of <OS/2>2 2.0 and Windows NT 3.1. |
