Description multitasking is the ability of an operating system to run more than one task at once. Most operating systems have this feature, though some operating systems are more successful at it than others (and some operating systems such as DOS do not support it at all). multitaskingg is a way of rapidly switching system control between many different applications, giving the appearance to the user that they are all running at once.
