Glossary Term "mnemonic"

mnemonic

Description A memory aid (such as a rhyme or phrase) that assists in remembering something. For example, ROYGBIV is a mnemonic for remembering the order of colours in a rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). In assembly language, the three/four letter code designated to a particular operation is also called a mnemonic.
