E-consultancy and Manchester Digital will be hosting their first “Digital Shorts” of 2008 on 23rd January, 2008
After a well-earned Christmas break, Ian Jindal, Editor in Chief of InternetRetailing.net, will be reviewing the key developments of note to ecommerce professionals during 2007.
In particular Ian will be looking behind the hype of Web2.0 (3.0?), social networking and what emerging trends, technologies and customer behaviours should be on the minds of digital professionals, informing their ‘digital resolutions’ for 2008.
There will be a review of new developments in rich(er) media and the opportunities and implications for hard-pressed marketers. He will also be casting an eye over attention profiling and whatever else is needed to stay competitive in a saturated market where there seems to be no-one who’s not online fighting for your customers’ attention. The session will finish by focusing our minds on 2008 and investigating whether ecommerce is still a rising tide that floats all boats with a post-view of seasonal ecommerce activity and issues.
Ian Jindal, Editor in Chief of Internet Retailing is active in senior, strategic consulting on etail change to major high street retailers (House of Fraser, Austin Reed) as well as direct and niche operators (Otto UK, CoutureLab.com) and works both as a retained advisor and non-executive director. Ian is a frequent conference keynote and chair, speaking on online marketing, e-Commerce, business change and casting a cynical-yet-enthusiastic eye over Web2.0.
The presentation will be over by 7:45pm, leaving plenty of time for networking over the wine and canapés. Tickets are £25 + VAT, places are limited so make sure you book early to reserve your place.
