The person in this position would be responsible for the overall Business Development for online software application development, and report directly to the CTO. One of the UK's fastest growing social media software companies seek a Business Development Manager to develop and maximise strong sales growth. The applicant should have worked in sales and business development for at least 3 years, and be able to demonstrate a knowledge of web site trends. Experience in managing interactive projects is a plus. There will also be some element of account management, to build upon an existing blue-chip client base.
You’ll need to act as a link between new clients and the Head of development + Account Managers. Our development teams have proven experience, skills and will ensure that the day-to-day running of site builds go smoothly. You will be responsible for getting leads and attending client introduction and requirement gathering meetings. Successful client pitch work needs to be presented back to the team and depending on the size of the project a mix of resource e.g. project managers and account managers will be assigned to liaise with the client on a day-to-day basis so you are free to get more new business. You will need to keep senior management informed regularly with progress on client relations.
Project budgeting guidance will be given and existing proposal documentation is available for reference.
A training programme will be in place and to succeed, you will be a well-presented individual and have the tenacity towards generating new business sales, with a strong desire to succeed.

Work with technology and marketing to brainstorm on product specifications, position, release and new products
You will need to be a pro-active sales person by nature who is not afraid of making cold calls and also follow up on web site leads, as well as being handed a number of accounts to service.
