Are you looking for a new and exciting management opportunity at the forefront of e-tailing in the UK?

The role of Operations Manager in this new e-commerce business offers the opportunity to work across two exciting sectors - Fashion and Media. 

The purpose of the role is to support the growth of the new business with tactical and operational management in the areas of order fulfilment, web-store back office and customer service. Specifically, the post holder will have the following responsibilities;

• Developing and maintaining a clear, sustainable and scalable supply chain strategy that enables the business to move effectively from a single sale, single category private seller, to a multi-sale, multi-category private seller.
• Ensuring that a first class supply chain, distribution, stock management and customer service capability is maintained and continually approved upon
• Affect strict budgetary control over all costs associated with the end to end fulfilment process including third party logistics partners, back-office operations and customer support function

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Experience within supply chain management at a senior level
  • Proven experience of managing a similar operation in a fast paced, high-growth retail environment - a fashion and/or e-commerce background would be ideal but not essential
  • The abilty to think strategically and experience of translating company strategy and commercial vision into daily objectives and weekly targets
  • Understand the principles of continuous improvement
  • Exceptional time-management skills
  • The ability to work with teams at all levels and have an open, approachable style
  • Previous experience in successfully leading and developing teams
  • A strong communicator
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
