As a result of our new online venture due to launch in September this year, we currently have an exciting vacancy for an E-commerce Manager to oversee all areas of the web.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director you will be responsible for developing the web strategy, managing the web team and driving the web budget. You will oversee all areas of the web from product, ranging, photography, web branding, copy, customer relations, customer database, fulfilment, marketing, promotional activity and analysing web statistics.
Key Accountabilities and Activities
Developing the web strategy and budgets going forward
Achieving budgeted sales and margin for the website
Ensure the web operation runs effectively and efficiently across all areas i.e. the third party web provider, product selection, ranging, photography, branding, pagination, customer relations, customer database, fulfilment, marketing, promotional activity and reporting
Ensure the website is in line with brand strategy (colour themes/style, photography and copy)
Understand and build the customer database and develop a communication plan to ensure most effective use of the database
Build and develop marketing activity including affiliate programme, PPC, email, portals
Manage the website promotional calendar
Manage all website reporting
Continually review competitors and the latest web innovations and implementing areas of improvement
Work with Buying and Merchandising team to enhance product offer e.g. DD
Candidate Requirements
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and have 3-4 years' web marketing experience in an e-commerece environment.
Your background will have a proven record of optimising revenue on a retail website and practical experience of developing and driving an online promotional calendar including managing the customer relationship.
You will have excellent influencing, people management and communication skills.
