Online Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the Smythson product offer online.
- Achieve online sales targets.
- Addition and removal of products where necessary to synchronize the off- and online product offer.
- Create, build and publish product web pages, including product features and benefits.
- Manage categories and sub-categories.
- Manage landing pages
- Regular reporting and analysis of online product performance.

Improve site conversion and basket values through:

- Clear, accurate, persuasive product copy.
- Arrangement of product ranges and collections online so as to assist the customer journey.
- Analysis of customer behaviour online to identify opportunities.
- Analysis of search activity/keywords both on and off-site.
- Co-ordination of online merchandising activity with Smythson affiliates.
- Co-ordination of the online offer with store and catalogue merchandising calendars
- Co-ordination with Smythson PR and Advertising.
- Co-ordination with Smythson email marketing activity.
- Effective selection and maintenance of online cross and up-sells.

The successful candidate will be able to work to targets, have experience of merchandising for an e-commerce site, the ability to work within a small team. Familiarity with the essentials of business reporting and MS Office applications, specifically Excel would be an advantage.

The role is part-time, 2+ days per week.
