Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious, mature individual to join our fast moving company. We have grown to 25 people in just over a year and we are looking for someone to run a planning and buying team under the guidance of the Business Development Director (although the role will be fairly autonomous).

 

Effectively, this individual if suited, has the opportunity to run the whole planning and buying department.

 

Candidate Requirements

Account Director, approx 4 yrs experience

Role requirements:

The individual would ideally have a background in direct response clients and be able to thoroughly evaluate opportunities on this basis. A working knowledge of email and affiliate marketing would also be an advantage.

 

In addition to this, the candidate would also have a sound understanding of the core disciplines within the planning and buying remit such as:

 

  • Ad serving and tracking (we use Atlas)
  • Trafficking
  • Taking client briefs
  • Creating campaign schedules
  • Evaluating media owner opportunities
  • Creating informative results
  • Optimising and gaining added value from the media owners where necessary
  • Neilson netratings, comscore, NOP etc.

 

The AD role will also require the following:

  • A strategic understanding of the clients business as well as the team required to deliver this.
  • A clear understanding of financing processes from a billing, invoicing, profit and growth point of view.
  • Managerial qualities and the ability to delegate efficiently
  • The ability to write and present data on industry growth
  • The creation of centralised data bases such as media owner opportunities and rates.
  • The ability to conduct senior client meetings and lunches.
