Web Producer

Working on an award winning website. The role reports to the Senior Web Producer on a day to day basis .

Key aims of the role

The web producer will provide editorial support to the web team and will help maintain and develop key site sections

Key areas of responsibility

· To work within the editorial team to create, research and develop original web content ideas

· To sub-edit and proof-read programme web content according to style guidelines

· To capture images and check links and additional materials for assigned content meeting editorial guidelines

· To enter this information into the Content Management System

· To assist with the sourcing and commissioning of contributors for website content areas

· To ensure all rights are cleared and documented for allocated web content.

· To assist the senior producer to ensure the website is regularly maintained and up to date

· To assist the senior producer in ensuring regular promotions and weekly content are updated

· To respond to public feedback on the website on a fortnightly basis and within guidelines

· On a project basis and under the direction of Head of Interactive Production, to liaise with development team to deliver new editorial developments to the website.

· To perform basic image editing, such as cropping and optimising, using Adobe Photoshop.
