Senior Web Designer

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Web Designer to join our Marketing Team in London. In this role you will consistently lead, develop and deliver creative elements for the THUS group online web presence, www.thus.net and www.demon.net and applications, ensuring all elements are on brand. In addition, you will Manage projects from inception to delivery, liaising with multiple parties to achieve the desired business goals.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Creation of a range of online design elements ranging from web pages, interactive how to’s, banner adverts, and promotional elements
• Conceptual and technical knowledge of all Web Design principles including typography, colour and CSS layout.
• Work with the eChannel design and content manager, other departments and third parties to capture and document business requirements for online design.
• Design and implementation of HTML pages compliant with standards including CSS, XHTML, Usability and WAI Accessibility as directed by the eChannel design and content manager.
• Liaison with internal and external suppliers/customers

Suitable candidates will have the following skills & experience: 

• At least 5 years online design experience 
• Proven ability to deliver a high standard of work to set timescales in a fast moving and rapidly changing environment.
• Experience of UI design
• Demonstrable ability to abide by the brand guidelines
• Experience of design in a web and non-web environment
• Good knowledge of W3C accessibility standards
• Proven technical ability in HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, XHTML, ASP, JSP, Action script
• Excellent skills in Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator/ Freehand, Quark Express
• Proven Visio/ PowerPoint skills would be an advantage
