Job Description

Purpose of Role
You will be responsible for enhancing the Charles Tyrwhitt website through day to day content and promotional management. Using our in-house content management system, you will be responsible for ensuring timelineness and accuracy of home page content and ensuring that all promotional activity is correct and up to date.

Additionally, the online content manager is expected to be proactive in suggesting and implementing changes on the website and will be heavily involved in projects to develop the website. You will also be responsible for overseeing intranet developments.

You will have the ability work to deadlines and deliver work that matches specifications, and be able to liaise with our merchandising, creative and marketing departments.

Main Accountabilities
i) Ensuring the websites are updated regularly through our management system
ii) To help develop the website including ideas to generate more traffic, improve conversion and the customer experience.
iii) Plan and implement all web promotions through close liaison with marketing.
iv) Ensure all areas of the website are accurate and the layout is correct.
v) To ensure that the main season launches and sales are accurate and timely.
vi) To be responsible for the update of the intranet, developing new features and elements where appropriate
vii) To answer any web or promo related queries that may come from Customer Services in a timely fashion.
viii) To come up with content and product improvements that will improve the customer experience

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ commercial experience maintaining a website
  • Experience of Photoshop and Dreamweaver
  • Understanding of HTML is essential, JavaScript preferable
  • Experience of working on website projects
  • Analytical and reporting skills are required, especially in relation to projects aiming to improve the website experience for the customer
  • Knowledge of web accessibility guidelines and usability techniques.
  • Strong team-working ability and self-motivation and willingness to help others in busy periods
  • Knows the importance of a deadline
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
