Job Description
The Digital Media Planner/Buyer sits within the Media Team and is responsible for the implementation of digital media strategies.

The Digital Media Planner/Buyer has direct responsibility for the following tasks:

- Taking media briefs from the Media Manager
- Creating media plans from the brief
- Buying media plans as cost effectively as possible
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Imaginative planning mind
- An all rounder
- A strong understanding of the digital market - Publishers, Suppliers and Targeting 
  (ISPs, Female, Sport, News, Entertainment, Networks etc) rates, buying models (CPM, 
  CPC, CPR etc.), sponsorships, partnerships, Search Engine Optimisation, keyword 
  searches etc….
Candidate Requirements
- Knowledge of planning tools e.g. Lemonad, Comscore etc.
- Knowledge of ad serving technologies: DART, Atlas
- Should be able to oversee all media bookings and keep a record of rates and 
  negotiations by Media Owner and by Client
- Should be able to work closely with the Media Manager and contribute to campaign 
  planning by bringing specialist media understanding to the process. Also to plan 
  campaigns directly from brief
- Understanding of trading terms & conditions eg. Commissions, Gross .v. Net, payment 
  terms etc
- General industry knowledge and ability to contribute to brainstorms
- Excited by prospect of working closely with creative and technology teams
- Ability to understand the media implications of new and emerging platforms
- Comfortable with clients, media owners and other agencies
