| Background: | In 1996 I founded and ran Torrington Interactive which in September 2000 was ranked the UK's number one technology Internet agency. During those years I invented and delivered the UK's first entirely database-driven website, the first content management system, built one of the first 'dotcoms" (BusinessMeetings.com in 1995), and pioneered many other technologies which have since become standard. I also conducted technology-related due diligence, assisting a number of venture capital houses in their investment decisions. Since Torrington, I advised a number of companies on technology and business strategy, and have been instrumental in a number of new ventures throughout the UK, Channel Islands, North America and Asis, all of which I continue to be involved in, and some of which are listed below. | |
