| Background: | As a founding father of Interactive Investor in 1995 Nick was pivotal in creating the UK’s leading retail financial portal which had more than 1.2 million customers. The online service he created won many awards including the “Sunday Times/BT Superhighway Award” and the “New Media Age Effectiveness Award” amongst others.
He has been an innovator in online design, e-commerce and web development for such companies as American Express, CGNU, Deutche Bank, Financial Times, HSBC and Royal Bank of Scotland to name but a few. His experience spans numerous industry sectors: Banking, Financial, Mobile, Retail, Health and Industrial. Part of Nick's early work included many UK breakthroughs such as the first web-based financial transactions and stock deals. He also created the first system in Europe that allowed people to track their financial portfolios and this consequently won many further awards and press attention. After seeing interactive investor float on the LSE, he left to join sharepeople and worked as Head of User Experience for American Express before setting up Diligent in 2001. Nick is a published author, media contributor and has written for a number of magazines and journals around the world including Internet World, New Media Age and IT Week. He has spoken at international conferences on the subject of design, interactivity, usability and interactive TV. He is also a member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and is very keen on disruptive technologies that aren't inferior products. |

| Current: | Nick is currently the Managing Director of Diligent Limited, a full service agency based in London. Clients include, IG Index plc, Library House, Handheld History and Harvard Business School amongst others.
In December 2003, The online spread-betting system Diligent designed for IG Index won an incisive media award and after launch, the share of business done online by IG jumped from 5% to over 75%. Diligent continues to grow organically and has been profitable since launch in 2001 |
