Purpose of Job:
To work within the Development team, reporting to the team leader or Development Manager as appropriate on a variety of development tasks for the company. Development assignments will be predominantly eCommerce Web application related or Buying and Merchandising. Longer term assignments may include other Supply Chain, WMS or ERP functions.
Developers of all levels will be expected to enjoy a fast moving and continuously evolving environment and to contribute to keeping asos at the leading edge of eCommerce.
Main Responsibilities:
· To work with Business Analysts (and Senior BAs/PMs) to deliver specific development tasks
· To liaise with Development team Application Architects and Database Administrators wherever appropriate regarding the requirements and systems implication of the task
· To undertake development according to the Company’s best practice and to work closely with other development and management colleagues to identify the best approaches and solutions. To work within the Company’s workflow process, but to be actively looking for improvements
· To be aware of and open to the adoption of new technologies and methodologies as the company evolves
· To work with the test team to support the testing and release process
· To make commitments regarding development projects and keep team managers informed of progress or potential problems regarding achieving deadlines
