Job Description

At John Lewis we're committed to constant improvement of our customers' online shopping experience. We're looking for a commercially minded, Web Insight Analyst to join the team that's helped to make johnlewis.com one of the UK's most popular retail websites.

You should be a self-motivated team player with a proven ability in web analysis. A deep understanding of multi-variate testing and web analytic tools are essential. In your role you will be responsible for delivering commercial insight into customer shopping behaviour on the johnlewis.com website. Your focus will be on converting customer activity on the site into sales and repeat custom, growing conversion and revenue.

Candidate Requirements

Commercial Optimisation
Primary responsibility is the commercial optimisation of the John Lewis website, specifically through increasing conversion and identifying revenue driving and cost saving initiatives. Also responsible for measuring the impact of optimisation activities and communicating results to develop Web Selling's knowledge and capabilities.

Customer and Commercial Insight
Is able to provide context and recommendations - based on hypothesis driven, fact based business proposals. Acts as an expert source of customer and competitor information.

Analytics 'Platform'
Responsible for setting the direction of on-going development of the tools which provide the platform for insight and optimisation of the site (such as Omniture, Optimost, TeaLeaf and ProClarity).

Expert Communication and Stakeholder Management
Is able to assess business opportunities from a fact based commercial and customer perspective. Is able to clearly communicate and recommend to stakeholders from this perspective to support and improve decision making.
