Job Description

Working as the Technical Project Manager (TPM) for one of the world's largest mobile handset manufacturers you will be responsible for delivering multiple projects of high quality, on time and to budget through the effective management of people and resources. The TPM is the first point of contact for a client on all technical and project issues and is therefore responsible for managing client expectations and problem resolution in line with the available resources and the company’s objectives. You will be working with and guided by the Account Director.

Key responsibilities:
- Be the focal point for production, technical, content and budgetary issues by liasing with the client, internal resouces, Senior Managers and other third parties as appropriate.
- Facilitate, manage and maintain timely and effective communication across teams, with department heads, Senior Managers and third parties.
- Analyse the client’s needs, ensuring that they fit with production objectives and quality standards, and can be delivered with the available resources and budget.
- Manage the day-to-day technical operations of the project. Assess risks and report operational issues to the Account Director and ensure any problems are followed through to resolution.
- Using technical documentation standards, create specifications and support documentation for the projects. Ensure these remain accurate and up to date.
- Produce weekly and monthly project reports in accordance with the company’s standards and on time.

Candidate Requirements

Ideal experience and skills:
- Project management experience of delivering successful, high profile software applications
- Experience with company processes & procedures
- Strong knowledge of all MS Office applications including Microsoft Project and Visio
- Experience of web technologies
- Some experience with hosting platforms and network operations
- Experience of defining and managing the scope of projects
- An understanding of design and implementation of web/software applications
- Experience of defining and managing the scope of projects.
- Formal methodologies, e.g. Scrum
