Search Marketing Manager

American Express Interactive is a global team, with responsibility for growing interactive channels within our market leading brand. Over the last 5 years, the web has become an increasingly important acquisition channel for many of our international markets.

An exciting role has become available for a Search Marketing Manager to focus on increasing profitable online channels. You will be responsible for driving acquisition results from interactive channels by managing and optimising search marketing, including both Pay Per Click (PPC) and Natural Search listings (SEO).

You will be involved in launching new programs and functionality across International markets, as well as optimising performance in existing markets, and would suit someone who enjoys operating in a diverse, fast-paced team.

With a focus on building the future of American Express online – with teams based in London, Brighton, Sydney, New York and Miami - this is truly a global role, with unlimited career development opportunities for the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Extensive interactive marketing or acquisition experience, with previous experience managing Search (both paid and natural) is a distinct advantage

  • A proven ability to drive results, supported by strong strategic thinking and financial acumen, and well developed business and project management skills

  • Initiative to take the channel to the next level by continuously identifying opportunities to improve results

  • Outstanding relationship building skills, both with internal business partners and external agency and vendor partners

  • Comfortable working with shared goals and operating in a matrix environment

  • Superior communication and influencing skills, including writing decks, presenting to peers and leading-level management teams, and successfully selling new ideas and solutions

  • A flexible advocate for change, supported by demonstrable cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
