Online Editorial Manager

We are a progressive internet company based in Bristol that create and market dynamic websites promoting products and services in the UK and USA.

The Role

We require a talented individual to head up our new editorial team to:

• manage, research and write content for a range of websites that are promoted in the UK and USA. The sites range from the financial to the entertainment world.
• You will be required to manage and coordinate the work of a junior editor and temporary staff who will be employed on a project by project basis.
• You will be required to liaise with the marketing team to create content strategy in line with the business strategy.
• As well as creating new content the role will require an overview function on existing copy to ensure it is kept fresh and up to date.
• The role will also require managing newsletter content for the company’s email audience.
• Some travel will be required to the USA once or twice a year.

Essential Skills Required

• You will have a relevant degree with at least two years experience writing content for online readers.
• You will be used to utilizing the web to source material for daily and long term editorial projects
• The right candidate will demonstrate an understanding of what makes good online content. It is important that the candidate is self motivated and is able to take the initiative on projects.
• Have strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Be a good team player in contributing ideas on current and future editorial content.

Desirable Skills Required

• A basic understanding of writing search engine friendly content would be an advantage.
