eCommerce Manager

The eCommerce Manager will create and develop a distinctively different website to the competition that will support the catalogue but generate sales independently. This is a permanent role to start as soon as possible.

 The company

One of the world’s largest multi-channel retail groups is planning a major launch of a new lifestyle-oriented eCommerce website. The new site will quickly become a major force in the women’s online shopping marketplace. With the launch due in early 2007, they are seeking an eCommerce Manager to be highly instrumental in it becoming the web-site of choice in its market, utilising all available online marketing tools and technologies.

 About the role

 The person will be responsible for:

• Online Customer Recruitment by managing off-line and online advertising campaigns and utilising Search and Affiliate programs to recruit new customers.
• Online Customer Retention by developing an eCRM strategy with the eCRM team and using CRM tools and methodologies to maximise retention and spend from new customers.
• Recruiting, training and managing an Online Campaign Manager and to contribute with motivation and development of the team in general.
• Compiling and monitoring the budget measure performance vs. budget against a series of pre-specified KPIs.
• Site Development including co-ordinating with internal eCommerce and Branding Team to develop the site functionality, content and look & feel.

 The ideal candidate will have:

• Managed or assisted in the launching of a major new e-project.
• Managed or assisted a retention program.
• Leading eBrand marketing experience in Retail or a blend of Financial services, Portals or FMCG.
• Proven ability as an excellent communicator with a persuasive and forthright style, yet a team player with an entrepreneurial flair.
