Job Description
Become Interactive is looking for an experienced senior web developer/programmer to join its growing development team. Responsibilities will include:
•    managing a team of developers
•    developing the companies core applications
•    research and introduce appropriate new technologies
•    attending client meetings

The successful candidate will be influential in the technical direction of an established team of developers tasked with the maintenance, development and support of several large clients particularly within the retail sector. Other duties will include managing client projects and deadlines, liaising with senior management and managing 3rd party suppliers. You should be able to demonstrate leadership qualities as well as excellent commercial experience of open source technologies.

You will be expected to create work of the highest standards and see projects through from start to completion including planning, developing, documenting, testing and maintaining.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of how to best use web-based technologies to improve our client’s businesses. You will also be expected to represent the company and attend client meetings.
Candidate Requirements
At least 3 years' commercial experience is required with around 5 years preferred.

Essential skills include: XHTML, PHP, Javascript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, XML, CSS, Unix (Solaris), Linux

Other useful skills include: C#, .NET, Perl, ActionScript, Java, Oracle
