Job Description
Job Role:
The commercial team is responsible for delivering budgeted sales & profit. The Commercial controller manages this team and forms the key link between “front line” sales and marketing and the Kybotech executive board. In conjunction with the board the commercial controller is responsible for setting and implementing company strategy across three key areas – marketing development, buying and site management.


Specific Duties:
1. Develop market leading e-commerce websites
1. Site design and page layout
2. Launching new e-commerce streams
3. Online and offline marketing plans
4. Deliver maximum traffic to our sites.
5. Annual brand plans for own brands

2. Manage the buying process – ensure best range of products at the best possible price
1. Manage range review process – source new products from 3rd party and own brand suppliers.
2. Through negotiation ensure best possible retail prices
3. Ensure consumers are traded to our own brands
4. Ensure team has a “commercial” profit focus
5. Improve and manage stock control processes.

3. Sell product
1. Ensure product “story” is compelling on site
2. Plan and implement market leading promotional plans – maximise profit whilst driving volume.
3. Analyse promotional plans and constantly improve.

• Create distinct and high-performing teams from existing resource.
• Manage and improve supplier relationships
• Understanding and thriving in an extremely fast growing internet business
• Balancing the need for long term change planning in conjunction with short term sales and customer needs.
Candidate Requirements
Required Experience:
• At least 7-10 years retail buying or brand management for a major company.
• Experience of negotiating either on behalf of or with a major and respected retailer
• Experience of managing a team
• Love and understanding of the internet
• Demonstrable passion for driving and delivering business results 

Desirable Experience:
• Experience of online selling
• Understanding of SME type environments 

Required Skills:
• The commercial controller needs to have significant impact. This is crucial for both building & managing the team as well as negotiating with suppliers and influencing the board.
• Conflict resolution
• Negotiation skills
• Selling skills – understanding of all possible sales levers.
• Marketing skills – demonstrated through brand knowledge – ability to build a marketing plan
