Job Description
Associated New Media, the digital division of Associated Newspapers (UK), is now hiring for the role of communities assistant.

In this position, you will support the communities editor in the day-to-day moderation of all aspects of reader-generated content across our network of online properties.

In addition to this you will also play a key role in the running of our webchats, as well as assisting in the product development of new and exciting areas of the network that will enable our readers to engage even further with one another online.

This role involves championing the reader from within, listening to what they want and liaising with our editorial teams on all sites to ensure that our communities are tightly integrated with everything that we do online and offline in the newspapers. 

Above all, you will be responsible for making sure that all content remains safe, legal and appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
Prior experience is a bonus but not essential, as training will be given. 

It is extremely important to us however that you are absolutely passionate about all aspects of reader-generated content, particularly that of online communities.

You will have a complete understanding of how the web works, superb written communication skills and you will be highly organised.

This is a very exciting position within Associated New Media and we have superb plans afoot for the further development of this area.
