Job Description

Opodo is looking for a dynamic and passionate user interaction professional to join our Web Agency team.

Opodo is a leading Pan-European online travel portal, headquartered in riverside offices in Hammersmith. Opodo is owned by Amadeus, a GDS and travel industry technology provider, and nine of Europe's leading airlines.

Job Purpose:

The User Experience Lead will be part of our Web Agency team and report directly to the Head of Web Agency. He/She is responsible for driving out the user requirements for projects, ensuring the Information Architecture, Graphic Design & Content elements meet the user and the business requirements of the project, as well as heading the integration of the UE offering into projects.

Responsibilities:

* Work with Graphic Designer, Information Architect, Business Analyst, and any relevant wider team members to: - Generate ideas; - Identify areas of risk and restriction; - identify content requirements, - Evaluate and refine functionality and design concepts; - Choose appropriate functionality and design concepts
* Contribute to scoping exercises and facilitate decisions
* Carry out competitor benchmarking and monitoring
* Work with all Opodo stakeholders to understand business requirements and project success metrics
* Work with the test team during UAT & QA
* Collation of UE project documentation
* Conduct user research to generate a user requirements log
* Solicit independent assessment where required
* Analyse and consolidate research
* Organise and conduct user testing for projects
* Oversee modification of prototypes/designs based on test outcomes
* Present findings to Opodo stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 2 years working experience as an User Experience Lead, Usability Consultant or in similar roles
* Background in HCI, Ergonomics or Psychology
* Must have experience of e-commerce environment
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills, high degree of initiative and an excellent team player
