Job Description

An inspiring, entrepreneurial online marketer is needed who can challenge our current thinking to deliver a vision for global online marketing and shape its future in Dyson. Online marketing will be key to the aggressive growth of our brand and sales internationally, providing excellent customer service and driving direct revenue from our portfolio of over 60 websites. The role reports into the Marketing Director.

About the role

You’ll be based at Dyson’s international headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire which is within commuting distance of Bath, Bristol, Chippenham and Cheltenham.

-  Developing Global internet strategy for Dyson for the next 1-5 years including e-commerce, brand marketing (Advertising, viral and CGM), website and microsite development, mobile, iTV and email, integration with ATL and CRM campaign activities.
-  Gaining key stakeholder buy-in to the online strategy and agree business deliverables.
-  Producing financial analysis and justifications for activity and then demonstrating the success of that activity to the business.
-  Budget ownership and management.
-  Achieve business targets for direct revenue, sales lead generation, customer service and improvements in brand measures.
-  Driving high levels of creativity in yourself and in those you work with.
-  Driving understanding and usage of online marketing to senior management
-  Evaluate appropriate use of internal and external resources to deliver online objectives.

Candidate Requirements

Managing an expanding online team, project managing internal resource and agencies and integrating online with the wider marketing and business strategy are important aspects of this role. To be successful you’ll need to have had 5-10 years’ experience within a marketing role or environment, with at least 3 years spent running successful Internet marketing, advertising, search and viral campaigns - both branding and commercially focussed.

An inspirational marketer with a solid background in website development and project management, we’ll also be looking to you to think strategically above and beyond the remit of website marketing to understand and influence the wider marketing and business strategy. You’ll already be a highly experienced team leader and excellent people manager with a passion for team development.
