Yes, it is indeed time for us to upgrade the forum!

We've been holding off doing it because we're currently redeveloping the entire site which is due to launch this August. So unfortunately we'll have to live with the existing forum until then but we hope the new version will be much more usable.

We developing it in-house rather than using an external platform like vBulletin as it gives us greater scope to integrate it with the rest of the site.
