Network for display advertising

That is probably a very much time consuming job to deal direct / establish relationship with the advertisers and if you are a very small team, that may be difficult. another option could be to contact advertising agencies who manages accounts such as car manufacturer and give them the right sales pitch why they should add your site to their media plan.

Thanks Fabrice.

I've contacted a fair few, and some have got back to me and I'm still waiting for others.  we're looking for CPM campaigns to make the most out of the traffic to the site.

Ideally, what we're looking for are some high-earning, focused campaigns, and then a pass-through RON campaign (which would still be delivering relevant ads) which will still generate a decent revenue.

Selling the inventory direct is an interesting option, but we're only a very small team probably without the necessary time to dedicate to this.  To be honest, I wouldn't know the best way of approaching this.  Are you suggesting going directly to the advertisers (such as the car manufacturers?) and seeing what they say?  I guess it would remove the middle-men and ensure we get 100% of the revenue from the advertising rather than others taking out their cut along the way.

I'm surprised that the big networks aren't interested. Have you tried advertising.com, DrivePM or VCMedia? Failing to get a deal with them, and if you have some resource available inhouse, you can always try to sell your inventory direct, you will get much more money out of it and will later benefit from an established relationship with advertisers relevant to your industry. It is also offers the advantage to get a better control over the ads that will be displayed on your site.
