Lord of the Networks? LinkedIn, Facebook, Plaxo, Spock, Naymz etc.

We need three things:

• A system to sync address books (Plaxo does a great job)
• A professional social networking site (LinkedIn does a great job)
• A site I can type someones name in and get some sort of background data (there was a site with a random fancy name that did that)

It would be really nice if one site did all those, but it would have to be Plaxo merging with Linkedin.  My connections are set up on these and I am not doing that again.

I think the problem is that because facebook was seen as so successful there are a number of VC types that want to see the words 'Social Networking' in a business plan. If so it must be good.  In fact if you add the development time for a web site to the time when facebook was the talk of the town, you get to... about now.  So hold on for the avalanche.
