Hi there Becky,
Chances are that everything should be fine if the 301 redirects are implemented correctly. This is certainly the most effective and painless way of maintaining any existing rankings. I'd also ensure you create a Google Sitemap and Yahoo URL List to ensure that the changes are picked up ASAP.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
We are shortly going to launch our new websites, on the same domain but some URl's are likely to change slightly. If we redirect all our old URL's ( using the friendly search engine re-direct) to the new pages, will we still keep all the great linkage for SEO we achieved for the old pages?
Many thanks
Becky
