Hi
Can anyone compare and contrast the differing characteristics of the main search engines (Google, Yahoo, Ask, MSN et al), for both paid and organic.
And let me know as a digital marketeer, how I decide which to use, and what weighting i might give to my efforts to optimise for each. By that i mean - if i optimise for organic search - do the same measures (broadly) work across them all? And does the paid for element work in the same way across them all?
I work in the digital team at a sports brand and want to be able to look like I know what I am talking about when senior people (digital and non) ask questions about our search activities, and which engines we are/should be using and what kind of budget allocation we should be allowing for each.
Is the answer based around understanding our target market, and which engine(s) they use?
look forward to hearing from you
