magazine feature ideas and contacts

Although I have been using e-consultancy for a little while now I am still relatively new to, and have no formal training or education in, online marketing. In this light, please tailor any of your replies for the layman that I am.

I publish a trade magazine and (quaint) news web site for the £multi-million UK overseas property industry. It is read primarily by estate agents and overseas developers who target this market. Many, like myself, are not familiar with the nuances of online marketing. That said, I have been trying to educate myself - reading E-consultancy's newsletters avidly and visiting TfM recently - and am now preparing to embark on writing a bluffer's guide to online marketing for my readers. It will be written from the perspective of someone who is relatively new to the subject and in a style that is suitable for a non-techie readership to help them make the right decisions in taking their businesses forward in the digital age.  

What I need are contacts who would be willing to answer questions on, highlight the key considerations for, and guide me through the maze of the core aspects of the feature: email marketing, database management & marketing, web design & optimisation and advertising solutions.

If there's anyone out there can help, particularly if you've had experience of the property market and speak in jargon-free layman's language, then I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to approach this feature.
