Its about 90% - I don't know what the average is for furniture online. I would love to know. And you're right we've only just started measuring them. We're using Clicktracks as our web analytics system so we will be doing a lot of A/B testing. Thanks for the advice.

Is it high as in higher than usual, higher than anyone else in your vertical or high because you only just started measuring it (and maybe its always been that high!)
There are a lot of factors that affect Shopping cart abandonment rates other than design and usability issues.
To be direct - there is only one sure fire way to fix Shopping basket processes scientifically and that is with A/B testing.
What sort of web analytics system are you using?
