    Big payment announcement today from Google re AdSense: you can now elect to get paid in local currency cheques or get funds remitted electronically direct to your bank.

    Okay, so my comments yesterday re PayPal were a little off target!

    This is, however, a very welcome development even if the electronic funds transfer aspect is in beta.

    To make the switch just log on, note the new Terms and Conditions that apply and then click the "My Account" tab. Then edit the "Payment Details" option.
