Nothing ever realy gets deleted in IT. Even if they took you off the file there would some audit trail or backup somewhere that would have your details on it.
If they deleted you off the database, you could easliy get put back - suppose you called them tomorrow. At least now they have a record that you were removed before and if a query arises they can track back what happened.
Stop worrying, its all standard practice.
