I still think that blogs and forums are host to different types of content and ways to interact with it. In the case of e-consultancy there is no distinction. Viewing some's blogs is just an adapted version of the typical 'view all posts by X member' forum feature.

I guess this can be considered a hybrid solution. I have my doubts about it, but it works well for an Expert Forum like this one then there ain't a problem ;)
