Bloggers like to link to other bloggers, and will link more often to the blogs they believe to be authority sites for their favorite topics.

Thats right - bloggerS - plural, which in practice means that linking will be fragmented with few (but not many) authorative bloggers benefitting from it.

In order for N bloggers to benefit in this way they will need each to have (N-1) links, so total number of links available on each site would have to be N, and total number of links be about N^2, so, for 1 mln bloggers it will be necessary to have about 1,000,000,000,000 links.

Hell, if everyone started writing their opinions then I doubt most people would read just a handful of posts, which probably will include descriptions of really bad or good days. Heck, I had such a bad day that I think I could have qualified for one of those authoritative sites!

regards,

Alex

P.S. Please be kind to me if my calculations are incorrect!
