I was more than a little shocked to find an invoice sent to me recently by e-Consultancy and WorldPay.
As my subscription was nearing an end it was renewed using my credit card information without requesting my permission, without notifying me in advance that my subscription was nearing an end or, crucially, giving me the option to decline.
I emailed e-consultancy to ask how or why this happened on 28 December and so far the scilence has been deafening.
I wondered how many contributors here have experienced similar treatment?
Surely e-consultancy should be the absolute epitome of 'good practice' in e-commerce matters?
Ironically, I would have renewed without delay as I find this site, its services and the contributors to be excellent. Assuming this is not some kind of administrative error (not having heard to the contrary) I think this falls far short of what I expect from a flagship of the right way to do business over the web....

I'll look into this further to see what may have happened in your case, but just to confirm that we do send all subscribers an e-mail before any renewals notifying them ...
