Your client might want to consider using server-side anti-virus protection either by getting appropriate software or by using people like MessageLabs. SoBig is not the last email virus so non-SoBif specific action might be wiser in a long term.

If you have control over firewall that sits before mail server then you might just blacklist that IP - drop all packets or only those that come on port 25.

There are lots other solution but you might be better off asking for them in specialised technical groups like these:
